       Air Source Heat Pumps

Use the air to provide 100% of a property’s heating and hot water.
  • Ideal for both new build projects and existing homes
  • Increased efficiencies and "greener" due to the new generation of refrigerant gases
  • Modern air source heat pumps are quiet
  • Can provide cooling as well as heating
  • Very little maintenance is required - just an annual service
  • When designed and installed correctly the expected lifetime is 12-15 years
  • Generally easier and more cost effective to install than a ground source heat pump in an existing property

       Ground Source Heat Pumps

Extract thermal energy from the ground to provide 100% of a property's heating and hot water.

  • Ideal for both new build projects and existing properties
  • Utilize garden space or open land with horizontal or vertial ground collectors
  • Provide consistently high levels of efficiency regardless of the outdoor temperature
  • Quiet and unobtrusive
  • Generally no planning permission required
  • When designed and installed correctly, with regular servicing, they should last at least 20-25 years.

       Water Source Heat Pumps

Use a water source to provide 100% of a property's heating and hot water.

  • Even more efficient than ground source!
  • Require a body of water such as a pond or river, or other options if there is sufficient flow
  • Generally less expensive than ground source due to ground works costs
  • Qualify for the ground source RHI

“I know that I can be quite particular as a client and nothing has been too much trouble for Orangehouse. They have been very easy to work with, and have bent over backwards to meet my requests.  I would not hesitate to recommend Orangehouse Renewables - Alex and the team organised everything really well.”

Mr M, Cambridge

"Alex and the rest of the Orangehouse team were great! Nothing was ever too much trouble and everything was explained to us so clearly and with great professionalism. They have also been great with after support making sure the whole system is up and running as it should be and explaining the steps to take after installation. Would happily recommend to anyone!"

"Excellent service from an excellent company. We had a new ground source heat pump installed last year. All the guys who worked on the installation were friendly, courteous and professional. We were very impressed and would recommend Orangehouse to anyone thinking of installing a ground source (or air source) heat pump." J Smith
