Build It Awards 2020 - Winners of Best Heating System or Product

We were delighted to be named the winners of this category.

Our winning entry was for the design and installation of an innovative water source heat pump system for a domestic renovation. The aim was to provide our client with the most efficient and long-lasting system possible whilst ensuring a smaller carbon footprint and using the infinite renewable energy available in the river. Replacing the existing oil system with a water source heat pump not only resulted in approximately 58% fuel cost saving for the client but it also recovered the cost of the system through the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive grant scheme.

Apprentice of the Year 2015 - Highly Commended

Our very own George Houghton was awarded a Highly Commended in the "Apprentice of the Year” category at the Heating & Renewables Awards. These are national awards for the entire heating industry. George was endorsed at a gala ceremony in front of 800 people at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. He is currently undertaking his day release plumbing Apprenticeship at New College Stamford.

Alex Driver, Director of Orangehouse Renewables, said, ”We’re absolutely delighted for George. He’s a great chap who works hard and gets really positive comments from our clients and his college tutors. George does his best with the wide range of activities we ask him to undertake on client projects but he also built our raft for the Deepings Raft Race. Using pallets and plastic drums that we had left over from projects, together with our other apprentice he built the raft that completed the course and he’s already planning next year's entry. George got through to the final four; being awarded “Highly Commended" shows how close he came to winning."

NHIC - Best Home Energy Efficient Solution, 2012

The NHIC is a prestigious organisation that has been championing energy efficiency and improvements in homes for over forty years.

Renewable Energy Awards - Shortlisted, 2012

We were pleased to have been shortlisted for the Renewable Energy Awards.

Alex Driver said, “We’re all really proud to have been shortlisted and are looking forward to the awards ceremony in September. Orangehouse gained the demanding Government-backed Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) standard earlier this year. This means systems comply with safety and installation standards; will perform efficiently for years to come and gives the customer confidence in their investment. It also allows Orangehouse clients to qualify for the attractive financial incentives available for homes and businesses.”
