Energy Performance Certificates EPCs

To help you better understand your energy use and to minimise your heating costs Orangehouse Renewables can provide detailed impartial energy surveys.

In order to qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme, for existing properties you will need to have an EPC (Energy  Performance Certificate). For new-build properties a SAP EPC is required; this can be generated from your SAP calculations which are required for Building Regulations. These reports will provide proof that you have met the required minimum standards for the fabric of your building, and in particular loft and cavity wall insulation. These are the energy efficiency criteria as specified by Ofgem. The EPCs also confirm eligibility for the Domestic RHI Scheme. For systems that we install we can arrange for these to be done on your behalf by one of our accredited assessors.

Even if you are not planning on installing a renewable heating system there are still occasions when you will need one of these assessments done for your home; all properties that are to be advertised for sale require an EPC so that prospective buyers can see how well (or otherwise) your property manages the energy that it consumes.
