This solid walled stone farmhouse with single glazed metal windows has electric storage heaters. The residents complained the house had never been warm!

Orangehouse trenched the ground heat collector in a paddock and installed the heat pump and cylinders in a vacant stable. Highly efficient pre-insulated pipe was buried from the plant room to the house. A full set of fan assisted radiators were installed to provide effective heating of the large uninsulated rooms.

The house is now cosy and due to the gentle background heating from the heat pump the building is a far better environment.
