MEET THE TEAM
We are a small, friendly team who take a personal approach to the way we handle business.
Customer satisfaction is at the heart of what we do. Take a look at our profiles below and see what we're all about!
Alex's background is in micro biology and he had a stint working for Earth Energy. He has always had an interest in renewables and started OHR ten years ago in partnership with Karl Breeze (AV), buying Karl out and becoming sole director five years ago.
OHR has gone from strength to strength under Alex's guidance, gaining a reputation as a specialist renewable heating installer.
Alex enjoys spending time with his family, sport (in particular rugby and shooting) and of course working long hours!
Chief Engineer and Mentor
Nigel has a wealth of experience in both conventional plumbing and heat pump systems. His particular strength is problem solving and attention to detail combined with a natural creativity. Nigel is the one we all go to if we have plumbing challenges!
Nigel enjoys riding motor bikes, surfing and currently he is building his own home.
Carolyn started with OHR eight years ago to help out for a few hours a week in the office and has seen her role evolve beyond all recognition.
Now project managing every installation, scheduling the teams of engineers and running the servicing department, no two days are ever the same!
Carolyn loves time outside of work to ride her horses, enjoy sport and travel.
Susie's background is in office management and communications, and she joined the OHR team in January 2020 to support Carolyn and Alex with the growing demands of the business. Her role includes a bit of everything from HR and fleet management to service bookings and marketing.
Susie’s interests outside OHR include time with her family, long dog walks, travel and reading.
Tamsin joined the team in 2015 with a background in engineering and environmental studies, as well as being a qualified energy assessor.
She is responsible for consultation with customers, taking them through the design process to the production of a detailed quotation. Tamsin is passionate about customer service, and her special expertise is in historic buildings and their thermal performance.
Tamsin enjoys varied interests including Pilates, creative design and anything yarn related!
Sharon is our most recent arrival - joining the team in November 2020. She brings with her a wealth of experience from her role managing operations for a commercial contractor.
Sharon will be supporting Alex and Tamsin with the growing volume of customer enquiries.
In her spare time Sharon likes to ride her horses and spend time with her family. She also enjoys eating cheese!
