This off-gas property had a large garden area that was ideal for installing a ground collector in trenches. To minimise the amount of disruption to the garden a trenching machine was used to cut 100 mm wide, 1000 mm deep trenches into which the ground loop was inserted.
The heat pump and cylinders were put in a garage plant room and pre-insulated pipe run back to the house.
A solar PV array helps minimise running costs.
